Copper Dwelling + Design is proud to the launch of The Mercantile in Knowledge Park. Brittany and Michael Kelly have searched far and wide to bring shoppers popular and exclusive home decor and lifestyle gift items they will love.
The Mercantile by Copper Dwelling & Design is the brick and mortar retail centerpiece and corporate office located between Dust Off Brewery and Knowledge Perk Coffee.The store is located at 130 West White Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730, occupying a 4300 square foot warehouse built in 1884.
This 100-year-old building is the home of The Mercantile & the headquarters of Copper Dwelling & Design. Complete with wood plank floors set directly on top of the coal ashes dumped by trains as they stopped at the weigh-station with cotton. The Warehouse on White boasts 18” thick brick walls and houses the original cotton scales. As a special nod to the history of Knowledge Park, The Mercantile has an original Rock Hill Buggy Co. buggy. The Mercantile by Copper Dwelling & Design is your one-stop-shop for unique gifts.
“As lifelong supporters of historic Rock Hill, Michael and I saw the need for a one-stop-shop full of lifestyle brands that you cannot find at big box stores,” says co-owner Brittany Kelly.
Owners Brittany & Michael have a robust 5-year plan that includes expanding into the home design market. This year, the Mercantile HQ is eager to provide holiday shoppers with thoughtful gifts including natural beauty products, home decor items, children’s gifts and more from a variety of well known lifestyle brands. These brands include Creative Co-Op, Twisted Wares, Knock-Knock, Jack Black, Swag Brewery, and more. The Mercantile HQ will also be selling beautiful, fresh floral arrangements and an assortment of other gifts.
“We decided that Design and Real Estate are our passions. It’s what has been in our blood from both sides of our families and what we’ve always enjoyed. Our hope is to establish a local company that combines our passions and allows our three daughters can grow up to love them as much as we do!”
The grand opening event kicked off at 7PM on November 23, 2018 with warm meals from the Waffle House Food Truck available to all event ticket holders.
