The Rock Hill Community Fridge at the Mercantile
The Mercantile now proudly hosts Rock Hill’s first Community Fridge. The Rock Hill Community Fridge is a fridge full of free food for our community. With the goal of eradicating food waste and insecurity, the fridge aims at using food that would be otherwise thrown away. Host Your Own Fridge
Interested in hosting one of the Rock Hill Community Fridges at a location of your choice? The Mercantile is a host to the first Community Fridge, and we want more businesses to get involved. If you have a location or are a business willing to host a fridge, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get more information on how to do so. Download the Community Fridge Starter Kit Here.
The Rock Hill Community Fridge is powered by the community for the community. Meaning, it’s up to our community to ensure that it is clean, stocked, and organized. If you would like to volunteer to help with these needs, join our Volunteer Facebook Group for more information and lists of needs. Want to adopt the fridge for an entire week? Click here to sign up.
