Meet The Staff At The Mercantile

Meet Our Crew

We realized that we failed to introduce you to the staff here at The Mercantile. Since opening on Black Friday, we’ve grown so much. We’re excited to introduce our amazing staff to you.

Brittany & Michael Kelly established The Mercantile as a headquarters for their main company, our parent company, Copper Dwelling & Design.

You may find these two in the store on a Saturday or Sunday; we’re a start-up after all… That being said, they’ve designed The Mercantile to run like a well oiled machine no matter if they’re on the sales floor or not.

If you stop in to tell them hey, leave a note with our sales staff—we all love getting encouraging notes. (We promise that he/she will pass it on to Brittany &/or Michael!)

Chief Director of Store Operations

aka Store Manager

Stacey W.

Stacey has a knack for making friends with everyone who walks into the store. She brings energy and personality to the store while keeping up with our daily operations. She’s also a five star D1 yapper, if you need to work on social skills, she’s your gal. You’ll often find her restocking candles, soaps, hitting her bad knee on everything, assisting those who need guidance with our DIY bars and more!

Robocop is going for gold as she continuously prepares for the Olympic track and field trials for the 2028 LA Summer Olympics. (Wanna know her events? Long jump, 50 yard dash and hammer throw)

Chief Flower Officer

Katherine P.

Our magical, mystical flower lady who can make even your wildest dreams reality! Whether you need bouquets, boutineers, corsages, centerpieces, or large arrangements, she’s your gal. Often working tirelessly on her orders, she is a force to be reckoned with, but we love her regardless.

Chief Event Coordinator

Christin J.

The woman who makes all of our events possible, and does it effortlessly.  From weddings, to galleries, to yoga, to parties, she oversees it all. From set up to tear down, Christin is always working, and always prepping for the next event. So if you ever want to hold an event here at The Merc? Christin is who you need to get in contact with.

Also makes a mean sourdough loaf…ask her about it 😉

Chief Wine Connoisseur

Ashlea S.

She’s perfect, she’s beautiful, she looks like Linda Evangelista. She’s a dancer, she’s a yogi,  she’s a teacher, and a sommelier. Ashlea is a jack of all trades. When you need wine recommendations, how well it’ll pair with food, or other unique options, she’s the one to ask. Our wine bar manager, often here during the afternoons during the week, and when she’s not here, she’s dancing or reminiscing about Italy.

The Package Deal

Haley B. & Jonathan D.

Good Cop, Bad Cop. Yin and Yang. This couple runs the cafe in unique ways. Often working from behind the scenes, they keep the flow going and are ready to introduce new ideas  to keep the cafe fresh!

Marketing + Social Media Gal

Taryn S.

Responsible for flooding your social media feeds, emails, and waking thoughts constantly, with never ending content. She’s often photographing different products, making staff participate in trends and photos, creating posters and flyers in Canva (much to Michael’s dismay) as well as editing content to get posted! You’ll often see her wandering the store, camera in hand or hunched over her laptop or iPad trying to get content produced.
