With the goal of re-imagining our common spaces for the greater good of our community by way of Rock Hill, The Mercantile holds family and dog-friendly, local events in Rock Hill. In our continued effort to make Rock Hill a great place to live and to support of Only in Old Town, The Mercantile holds two reoccurring Rock Hill events. These two events include our quarterly Second Saturday Vendor Pop Up and the monthly First Friday Food Truck event.

FIRST FRIDAY FOOD TRUCKS
There is one thing all of the food trucks at The Mercantile have in common and it’s that each of them serves some of the best local food in Rock Hill. You can’t go wrong with any of these Rock Hill food trucks. As an effort to support Only In Old Town & Visit York County placemaking initiatives, Warehouses on White hosts First Friday Food Trucks every first Friday from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM. The goal of MySausageBuddy is to bring a European street food flair to Charlotte. Owners/Operators Jan and Danielle Lemerman both with European roots- Jan born and raised in Czech Republic and Danielle born in to an Italian American family grew up eating sausage.
Ninety’s Ice Cream & Sandwiches
We are a family owned dessert shop and mobile food truck based out of Charlotte. Our expertise is creating some of the most unique dessert creations. We took inspiration from our childhood to create a unique dessert experience, all of which are Instagram worthy.
The Latin Twist Cafe is a family-owned food truck based in Lenoir, NC. First Friday Food Trucks: Drink, Music, and Shopping
Grab a beer or a glass of wine from Dust Off Brewing Co. If you’re not in the mood for alcohol, Knowledge Perk serves a variety of coffee brews and lattes, and The Mercantile always has sodas in stock, as well as non-alcoholic beer from Wellbeing Brewery.
There is always live music playing at our First Friday Food Truck Events. Keep an eye out to see which local musician will be playing at the next event.

SECOND SATURDAY POP UP
The mission of The Mercantile’s Second Saturday Pop Up is to bring our community together to support local artisans through quarterly pop-ups at the Warehouses on White. From 11AM-4PM, our Second Saturday Pop Up gives you the opportunity to find unique gifts and support local artisans, all with a delicious coffee from Knowledge Perk.

ANTI-BULLYING DRAG RACE & SHOW
Join us Saturday, 2/29/2020, in support of International Anti-Bullying Day at out Anti Bullying Drag Race and Show. This free event will have local business leaders, fellow community members, and Drag Queens putting on their best high heels to run around the block and perform in an effort to end bullying. Come out and show your support by enjoying a fun evening for the whole family.
Anti-Bullying Drag Race & Show: Schedule
Check-In, Donations, Registration: 3:00 PM – 3:50 PM
Participants must arrive dressed up in costume with 2″+ heels to run in the Drag Race. Your $5.00 entry fee goes directly to Time Out Youth. Click here to register for the race: https://cdmercantile.com/drag-race-signup
Check-in and get your official Drag Race number, take your picture and convince as many donors to support you as possible before the race starts at 4:00 PM.
Drag Race: 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Those not participating in the race can place donation-bets on your favorite Drag Queen during registration from 3:00 PM-3:30 PM before the Drag Race which starts at 4:00 PM — all proceeds benefit Time Out Youth.
Cocktail Hour:5:00 PM – 5:50 PM
Join the Drag Queens after the race for a cocktail hour.
Drag Show: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Encourage our Drag Queens during the show starting at 6:00 PM by donating money to Time Out Youth! Join the Drag Queens for the Drag Show lip sync battle like no other featuring 2019 Entertainer of the year “Buff Faye” and Miss Charlotte Pride “Kristin Collins”.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners totaling $500. Fun for the whole family.
