Join us at The Mercantile during Merc-assaince festival to have fun, have a drink, make cool art and share a spooky tale.
This is a fun class that everyone should try, ghost and goblins alike! You will learn the basics of alcohol ink painting using air manipulation on paper as well as a framed 10″square board.
Ashlyn will provide all the materials you’ll need for the class. She’ll provide you with a list of product, brands and resources to continue working in this medium.
PLEASE NOTE – 90% or higher isoprophyl rubbing alcohol is used. The smell can be overwhelming for some people. Please bring a mask if you are sensitive to the odor.

Ashlyn Beck is passionate about creating beautiful surface designs that make a statement. With years of experience in creative direction and print pattern design, she has the skills and expertise to bring any vision to life.
Ashlyn enjoys using a variety of mediums to create bold and colorful pieces.
Whether she’s drawing, painting, illustrating, dyeing or working with fibers, art is an important part of her life.

About this Experience
You and your friends will enjoy a fun evening of crafting and socializing. Workshops at The Mercantile are hosted by local artisans with a passion for sharing their craft and creating an enjoyable group dynamic. All participants will have the opportunity to browse all the incredible products in our retail space. Each workshop is about 1 and a half hours long. Prices vary per class. Participants over the age of 21 will be offered one glass of wine or sangria. If you have additional questions regarding ticket pricing or the class structure, reach out to the workshop host directly.
Things to Keep in Mind
Great news! Our workshop hosts typically include snacks & wine or sangria for you during the class. Additional drinks and food options are available for purchase. We can’t wait to meet you and your group!
Classes start promptly at their scheduled time. Please be sure to arrive about 10 minutes before your class time. In order to create a fantastic experience for all scheduled guests, late attendees will have to pick up where the group is.
