Meet the Teacher:
Martha Mabe is a practicing artist and teacher working in Watercolor and Oil. Along with creating her own pieces, she shares her love of art with others through workshops and community programs.
While growing up in South Carolina, she fell in love with painting and drawing, but it took her many years before making it a priority in her life. She has dedicated countless hours honing her skills in her mediums of choice– watercolors and oil. She holds a Bachelors degree from Wingate University in Business but art was always in her vision, while mostly self-taught she has some formal training from the Holt School of Art and continuing training with other like-minded artist.
Her goal as an artist and teacher is to continue inspiring others through compassionate and nurturing hands-on instruction. She believes in lifelong learning and continues to develop her skills as an artist and to inspire others. It is never too late to create.

About this Experience
You and your friends will enjoy a fun evening of crafting and socializing. Workshops at The Mercantile are hosted by local artisans with a passion for sharing their craft and creating an enjoyable group dynamic. All participants will have the opportunity to browse all the incredible products in our retail space. Each workshop is about 1 and a half hours long. Prices vary per class. Participants over the age of 21 will be offered one glass of wine. If you have additional questions regarding ticket pricing or the class structure, reach out to the workshop host directly.

Classes start promptly at their scheduled time. Please be sure to arrive about 10 minutes before your class time. In order to create a fantastic experience for all scheduled guests, late attendees will have to pick up where the group is.
