Join us at The Mercantile for a Charcuterie Making Class with Chef Shonali from Corks, Cooks & Books. Enjoy a drink & fun with friends during this awesome local class.

Learn how to make an epic charcuterie board with Chef Shonali! You’ll receive a kit to build your board and get to take it home to share with your friends and family!

About this Experience
You and your friends will enjoy a fun evening of crafting and socializing. Our Workshops are led by local artisans with a passion for sharing their craft and creating an enjoyable group dynamic. All participants will have the opportunity to browse all the incredible products in our retail space. Each workshop is about 1 and a half hours long. Prices vary per class. Participants over the age of 21 will be offered one glass of wine.
Things to Keep in Mind
Great news! Wine will be served during the workshop. Beer and wine are also available for purchase. We can’t wait to meet you and your group!
Classes start promptly at their scheduled time. Please be sure to arrive about 10 minutes before your class time. In order to create a fantastic experience for all scheduled guests, late attendees will have to pick up where the group is. Please call the store if you are running behind.
If you don’t appear for your reservation or cancel within 48 hours of the reservation time it is nonrefundable.
Meet the Teacher:
Shonali Thomas lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, Eric and daughter, Shaiyla. Her love of food and cooking began in her “mud kitchen” as a child and has flourished into the kitchens of many home cooks around the country.
She is also a caterer, personal chef, teaches cooking lessons and is the Chef/Director of the Little Chefs After School Enrichment Program. She published her second cookbook, “Shonals’ Kitchen, A Dose of Healthy Indulgence”, in November 2017 and published her first cookbook, “Shonal’s Kitchen, The Eclectic Home Chef” in November 2007 and in 2009, she started SplenDishes by Shonali (now SplenDishes Kitchen) and began selling her gourmet foods at local farmers markets, gourmet grocery stores and through her online store.
Shonali is also a well-known local TV chef and can be seen cooking on several of Charlotte’s major networks such as FOX 46 and WBTV.
Sharing her love of food and wine, entertaining, and inspiring people to cook are just a few of her favorite things.
