The Rock Hill Community Fridge at The Mercantile
The Mercantile now proudly hosts Rock Hill’s first Community Fridge. The Rock Hill Community Fridge is a fridge full of free food for our community. With the goal of eradicating food waste and insecurity, the fridge aims at using food that would be otherwise thrown away. Interested in hosting one of the Rock Hill Community Fridges at a location of your choice? The Mercantile is a host to the first Community Fridge, and we want more businesses to get involved. The Rock Hill Community Fridge is powered by the community for the community. Meaning, it’s up to our community to ensure that it is clean, stocked, and organized. Donate your time and volunteer for us! We need consistent help cleaning our fridge throughout the day, organizing, and sharing the word.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DONATE?
Whenever you like! As a one-off or on a regular basis. To become an official Fridge Champion – a food business donating regularly and benefitting from press and promotion – see the Partner page.
