Enjoy a night out as we celebrate the end of summer and look forward to
fall with a guided workshop led by our in-house florist, Katherine Petke!
Create beautiful arrangements using sunflowers and greenery that you can display with autumn colors.
Why sunflowers? Although both associated with summer and fall, these incredible flowers continue to
bloom into the fall! A flower that is already a symbol of new beginnings, it ties into the fall solstice
which is a time of reflection and letting go of what no longer serves us.
So join us, celebrate the beginning of the holiday season, new beginnings and more with our sunflower solstice workshop!
Katherine Petke is our florist and plant bar specialist here at The Mercantile. This wonderful woman is in charge of all things green & growing!If you ever have questions about live plants, need a new house plant, or just want to come give her a big hug, she’s in the shop on Monday-Friday.She also used to own Downtown Artistry, which she closed down in May of 2021.
