Second Saturday Vendor Popup To Benefit Back 2 School

The Heart 2 Heart Foundation has partnered with The Mercantile this Saturday, August 10, 2019, to benefit the Back 2 School initiative in Rock Hill, SC. During the Second Saturday Vendor Pop Up at The Mercantile, The Heart 2 Heart Foundation will collect school tools for children in York County. Shoppers should bring a school tools donation to the event.

Sixty percent of Rock Hill School District students, K4-K12, qualify for free or reduced-fee lunches, which means that as few as 10,000 people in our local school district may not have what they need in order to be prepared for school. 

As avid supporters of the Early Learning Partnership of York County and the Rock Hill Education Foundation, The Mercantile owners, Brittany and Michael Kelly, are thrilled to partner with the Heart 2 Heart Foundation during their annual Back 2 School-School tools collection drive through the WSOC 9 School Tools campaign.

Second Saturday Vendor Popup attendees are encouraged to bring a school tools donation to the event happening on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 9AM-2PM. The most needed 9 School Tools donation items are: pencils, glue sticks, colored pencils, pocket folders, thumb-drives, composition books, binders, earbuds, book bags. All donations qualify attendees for a special in-store discount and two VIP tickets to the 2020 Queen of Hearts Gala.
