6 Amazing York County Date Nights

The Kelly’s Favorite York County Date Nights

There are six little words that always make us cringe, “What do you want to do?” Without our go-to list of perfect York County date nights/outings, analysis paralysis sets in, date night turns into staring at our phones while sitting on the sofa… I’m determined we won’t be ‘those people’ so we keep a short list of our favorite local events on rotation for the perfect date.

York County Date Night Transportation

On date nights and outings in York County, Michael and I take advantage of our new FREE bus system or rent a pair of Comporium bikes as our preferred modes of transportation. We like the added layer of adventure that both the public bus and rental bikes add to our York County date night experience.

Sunday Brunch at Slow Play Brewing

Cure your hangover with a casual brunch at Slow Play on Sundays. Sunday brunch starts at 11AM at Slow Play Brewery and regularly features one of our favorite food trucks, Cibi Cibi. Once you grab a mimosa or beer, head out to the patio to see Cibi Cibi’s special food truck menu. Each week, Cibi Cibi features a special menu but some of our favorite Cibi Cibi brunch items are French toast, breakfast burrito, chicken & waffles & their world famous burger.

From 2:00PM-5:00PM, Slow Play schedules awesome musicians to serenade everyone with live music and chill vibes. Grab a fun game to play with friends, or to get the kids out of your hair while you nurse that hangover.

Wednesday Evening LIVE Band Karaoke

Wednesday evening we head back at Slow Play for LIVE karaoke and enjoy their rotation of popular, local, food trucks for dinner. You won’t catch me singing, but if you’ve never seen live karaoke, you are missing something of the Gods. York County is blessed with some crazy talented local artists who get up with the live band to show off their pipes!

Thursday Night Trivia

Trivia and games at Dust Off Brewing starts at 7:00PM. They always have an awesome food truck out front to cure those thirsty-Thursday hunger pains. Be sure to pop into the Mercantile for a fun shopping experience while you’re out for the night dropping knowledge at trivia. Dust Off Brewing reopened their secluded back alley which has a perfect breeze and features a mural wall to take-in while you sip your favorite brew.

Saturday Old Town Farmers Market

There’s no better way to kick off your weekend than by hitting up our local Old Town Farmers Market at Legal Remedy Brewing early on a Saturday morning. Get your fresh produce, eggs, and meat before swinging by Knowledge Perk for a cup of coffee. Saturday’s Old Town Farmers Market is the perfect precursor to a day well spent downtown shopping, eating and drinking. Park and leave your car and enjoy an easy stroll downtown between all of your favorite stops!

Second Saturday Vendor Popup

If you want a special shopping experience without driving to multiple retailers, don’t miss The Mercantile’s Second Saturday Vendor Popup featuring 8-20 retail vendors! This event happens on the second Saturday of every month to coincide with the City of Rock Hill’s initiative, Shop Small Saturday. Grab a coffee or beer, and lunch from a local food truck and support the arts community at the Second Saturday Vendor Popup.
